Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Adair County Released Inmates collects when someone visits, searches, or sends a message. It also explains why that information is used, when service providers or lawful authorities may receive it, and what choices a visitor may have. By continuing to use the site, a visitor accepts the practices stated here. Outside services reached through a search tool, advertisement, or link apply their own privacy terms.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search

A name, location, or other term entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Adair County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may process the query under its separate privacy policy.

Messages Sent to Us

If someone sends an email or uses a contact form, the message and supplied contact details are kept as needed to read and answer the request. Those communications are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Details Collected Automatically

Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems can record technical details when a page loads. Those details help show whether the site works, which content receives visits, and how traffic reaches a page. The information may include:

  • The visitor’s internet protocol address
  • Browser name, type, and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring website, when available
  • Date and time stamps for requests

Cookies and Browser Controls

Cookies and similar browser storage may be used to understand visits and preserve basic site functions. Most browsers allow a visitor to reject, delete, or limit cookies. Blocking them may cause some site, search, analytics, or advertising features to work differently.

Reasons We Use Information

Collected information is used only for ordinary operational, service, measurement, and advertising needs. Those uses include:

  • Keeping the site available, responsive, and functional
  • Sending search requests to the proper search partner
  • Understanding which pages visitors find useful
  • Finding, diagnosing, and correcting technical faults
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

Privacy on Linked Services

Links may lead to Adair County release-record contacts, sheriff or corrections pages, government portals, and outside search tools. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination’s own privacy policy and data practices apply. Adair County Released Inmates does not set or administer those outside policies.

Some advertising providers may use their own systems to recognize activity across multiple websites and select targeted ads. Any such cross-site tracking occurs through the provider’s technology and is governed by that provider’s disclosures and controls.

Parties That May Receive Data

Adair County Released Inmates does not sell personal information. Limited information may still pass to organizations that perform the functions described in this notice, including:

  • Search partners that receive and process submitted queries
  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and site use
  • Advertising networks that deliver and measure advertisements
  • Law-enforcement agencies or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Safeguards and Their Limits

Reasonable, commonly used security practices are applied to information under the site’s control. No internet connection, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed fully secure, however. Adair County Released Inmates cannot promise that a breach, interception, loss, or unauthorized access will never occur.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on the law that applies to the visitor and the information involved, a person may ask to exercise these rights:

  • Receive a copy of personal data held about them
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate
  • Request deletion of eligible personal information
  • Opt out of certain forms of data processing

A request may require enough detail to identify the information and confirm the requester’s identity. Legal exceptions can limit a requested action.

Changes to This Notice

This Privacy Notice may be revised as practices, services, or legal duties change. A revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after posting is subject to the updated notice.
